Hello from a beautiful winters day in New Zealand! This picture reminds me of the view from our window in the early hours of thismorning - fog everywhere.

The husband and i are at this very moment about to embark on a wee adventure south for the weekend - down to our old family farm in the middle of nowhere! I can't wait to go for walks over all the big open hills and snuggle by the fire with a glass of wine in the evenings... ah, bliss! I will be back next week hopefully with some photos from our adventure!
Wishing you all a splendid weekend.

pieces

A ribbon on my window sill // Still building up the courage to do an outfit post... for now this is the closest i'll get (love my new spotty shirt) // Frames waiting to be hung up in our lounge // New lavender sandals I found on sale, it's still winter here but I'm very excited about wearing them when it's warmer!

Do you remember this moment?

Hello readers! I hope everyone is having a great week.

As promised, here is another snippet from our wedding - towards the very end of an incredible day... Dinner was done and we were dancing when outside the barn there grew a beautiful glow. Everyone moved outside to join in and light a lantern - they were a precious surprise from my mother who had them sent to her from overseas. It was such a sight to see all of our friends and family sending up these big glowing lights into the sky to wish us well.
The perfect end to a more than perfect day!

Dreamy Spaces

Today I thought, 'it's time for another dream-home post' and so here we go: some of my most recent and favourite found interiors. I suppose it's rather fitting that I post these as I am currently trying to give our wee place a bit of a makeover - it's amazing what a bit of shuffling around the furniture can do to your living space! The walls in our house are still rather bare, but i'm hoping in the coming weeks to have pictures up and everything feeling more like home. Don't you just love making spaces more homely? It has been the funnest thing since being married I think - having our own home to decorate and make our own.

Oh, and if anyone is interested, all pictures were found on pinterest (sources 1/ 2/ 3/ 4/ 5/ 6).

Ok, i admit it - I'm kinda addicted!

Seven shirts is a wee concept i came up with a few weeks ago. I absolutely LOVE shirts, especially ones with the collar done
right up to the top. And so, in tribute of this, i have photographed seven of my most favourite shirts to share - of course these are just two... there will be more to come soon when i figure out a way of showing them. Such fun!

p.s If you plan on reblogging my photographs, please link me!
I hope you're all having a great weekend!

lately.

Lately, life has been interesting... filling our days with creativity amongst the uncertainties that have popped up in the past few months. Somehow we feel peace.

(and yes, those are thank you cards from our wedding, you should see the mound i have to get through!)

vows

greetings friends - i have had a long while to play with the idea of sharing these photos, sometimes thinking that i'd rather keep them private but then more often lately marvelling at them and the idea of blogging them. it's really is a dilema that i
have quite often in my mind about how open to be about my life over in my little corner of the internet... but i've decided
that i love these pictures too much not to share the joy with you all.
it really was the most amazing day almost three months ago now. the day i made a vow to the man that i will always
love. our photos were taken by the wonderful Benjamin and Elise. if you would like to read about our wedding in more
detail, there is a writeup here on magnolia rouge.

(ps - yes, i have taken down most of the pictures a week later, i'm a chicken!)
(pps - i might put some more up soon of our reception styling etc if anyone is interested?)
