Over the past few days our New Zealand winter has been hit with a 'once in a lifetime polar blast' which has left snow falling everywhere - even in the most unusual places, including Wellington which is at sea level! Apparently the last time it snowed here was over a century ago so everyone is pretty excited! I must say i am enjoying the cosy nights in with the heater on, good friends, yummy dinners and red wine. Oh and hot water bottle always in hand :)
That sounds simply magical! My family lives in NZ and have been sending me all sorts of amazing photos filled with snow.
ReplyDeletewow what an experience! i get snow all the time where i live but the first snow of the year is always still like magic. i love the cake you made...i always think of doing that but never have!
