At long last i am able to share these pics from an Open Mic Night that I was asked to design around a month ago... I wanted to create a handmade but fresh kind of look for the posters, so i hand-coloured white marker on translucent paper, using a 3D typeface. These posters were hung around campus in windows and glass doors, they looked extra cool with the sun shining through them!

Next up i bought 2nd hand sheets and tablecloths of a cute vintage red and blue. I used this to made flags to hang in and around the stage... it was time consuming, but overall pretty easy - i'm totally going to make more one day using other cool material for some other event!

On the night we hung up the flags and decorated the stage with old vintage lamps. It made for a beautiful scene for lots of very talented people to perform. A special thanks to Harsh for taking pictures on the night!

Well done Mr Lagerfield... I'm not usually one to dote on latest catwalk collections, but I couldn't resist the latest from Chanel! The pastels and the bows, so cute and feminine.

My posting seems to have become few and far between lately, mainly because i'm still kinda working this baby out and don't know what to say... i want to write, but what exactly? It's a strange sort of muddle to be in, not sure of how much of myself to give away... is there anyone else with this dilema? In the meantime, here's hoping you have all had a great week and are heading towards a lovely weekend - I know i am! (I'm flying south tomorrow for an escape away with a friend, yay!) x

secret ruins

Imagine finding places like these... secret places, ruins. Once lived in and marvelled, then one day left and forgotten. I find these types of places so beautiful and sad at the same time. How could a structure so beautiful be forgotten and left to ruin?

But then i think there is something beautiful in the ruins. A certain mystery of old times gone by...

A long weekend

On my side of the world there has just finished a long weekend...

It was a lovely time spent with friends and family doing a mixture of things. Scoring so many cute wee this-and thats from some local saturday morning garage sales, trying to sort out the jungle that is my wardrobe, listening to some new vinyls, watching movies and coffee with friends and making some smoochy packages for certain people ;)

I think i am in love with MING MAKES CUPCAKES... This site is full of theee most delicious, frosted and fabulous cupcakes i have ever seen! Check it out for yourself, you won't regret it.
